A new design initiative has started in Boston and it’s very different from a traditional museum. Through a decentralized network of physical and virtual exhibits, Design Museum Boston will be bringing design exhibitions to public spaces and online. It showcases design created in Boston and educates viewers on the design process touching on social, economic, and environmental points of view.
The inaugural exhibit recently opened at City Hall; It is free and open to the public, and can be viewed on the 9th floor of Boston City Hall weekdays between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Brandon Bird is the exhibits team leader for Design Museum Boston and contributed to the design process for this exhibit.
