The concept for New Acquisitions was simple: only items acquired by the Boston Public Library Print Department within the previous calendar year are eligible for this exhibition. This is a great deal of works since the BPLPD are active collectors of drawings, prints, and photographs, especially by artists with ties to Boston. A range of works were selected, including promotions for magicians and photographs of Boston’s big dig as seen below. On display in the BPL Wiggin Gallery, 2006.
