Champlain’s America
The John Carter Brown Library at Brown University, in partnership with the Boston Public Library, presents “Champlain’s America: New England and New France” as part of an international series of events commemorating the role of Frenchman Samuel de Champlain in the settlement of North America. Drawing on the variety of the John Carter Brown Library’s collections, the exhibit presents 85 items, including maps, drawings, engravings, manuscripts, and poetry from the 17th and 18th centuries. This project was on display in the BPL Cheverus Room through May 31, 2008.
